I forgot to mention God Damn the NY Giants!

How could I forget? Sunday night, at 10:30 pm I was poised and ready in a pub to watch my first Giants game of the season. At half-time they were crushing the Titans 21-0.

I don't have to tell you that they lost. Only the Giants could disapoint me like that. What a bunch of bums. My only consollation was the fact that I felt I could really hear my fathers cursing from the other side of the Atlantic, which made me feel closer to my family.

took the midnight train to Praha...

20 hours later, I've arrived safe and sound. Julien is picking me up from the station in 30 minutes so I've got a bit of time to kill before I venture out into this new city that I hope to be living in for the next portion of my travels.

Rome was a fantastic end to my vacation. Annie and I did it proper American style, with a Thanksgiving to remember. The only traditional dish was the mashed potatoes but we feasted, and it was good. The wine and beer were also well-represented and we were able to share the magic of this holiday with a few Aussies and Brits. Excellent!

I saw the sights: Trevi fountain dedicated to my mom, the Colleseum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peters Basilica, and a bunch of other stuff. Florence was beautiful and the David is still standing in case any one is wondering.

Unfortunately, vacation is over and now I must commence the arduous process of job-searching and appartment searching. I will report my progress and should be getting a number soon, it's been a while and I think the excitement will overwhelm me until I recieve no phone calls. Annie has assured me the occasional text but I expect more so go out and purchase that international phone card so you can call me.

Love to you all!

Happy Thanksgiving!

One day late...I know, but I did call my family and eat a great Lebanese lunch. Rome is a beautiful city, I still have a lot to see. Its good to be back with family, Annie that is, and laughing with a friend who gets all my jokes and wants to look at pictures from college.

Speaking of pictures, here is a great shot from the first weekend of Dublin. The big guy in the middle is my boss, one hell of a guy!

On the road again...

Paris is done and now i'm about to make my way to Roma, the eternal city; home of the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel...

Here is every word I know in Italian:

Bongiorno
Stugatz (probably won't use that one)
Gracis
Prego
Per Favore
Pasta
Pasta al Pesto
Forte
Piano
Fortissimo
Pianissimo
and Spaghetti

I promise I will try hard not to hold it against the whole country of Italy that all the really rotten little sh*** from the summer came from a certain country that will remain nameless.

Here I go...stupid public transportation. Annie, sit tight darlin', I'm a-coming.

Paris est la capital de la France

This city doesnt cease to amaze me (I say that like a true Parisienne...I think considering this is my second trip, I qualify). The monuments are huge. The churches are huge. The plazas are huge. The intersections are huge. Standing in the middle of Place de la Concorde, my god, its as if the whole city is whizzing by around you.

I am staying with my friend Sebastien and his family who couldnt be nicer or more hospitable. Their home is in Neuilly, which is in the western end of Paris between, La Defense and L'Arc de Triomphe.

I've been getting the insiders view of Paris which is great. Last night we watched France beat Greece in soccer. We climbed the Notre Dame. I walk a lot every day and am exhausted at night. I think in just the same way that having a routine is boring and sometimes lends itself to sleeplessness, never doing the same thing for very long is really exhausting.

Today, le Musee Rodin and then we are going to see all the window decorations that are up for Christmas, just like when Im with my mom the day before Thanksgiving, walking on 5th avenue in Manhattan.

headed for Galway...

Step 1: Go get a map.

Step 2: Find the Inoshowen Peninsula at the most northern part of Ireland.

Step 3: Drive there on a beautiful day.

Step 4: Spend the night in Derry, drinking Guinness and listening to traditional Gaelic bands.

We lucked out on monday because it was a fabulous day to drive to Malin head (refer to your map). Derry is a great city, and I have a new apreciation for the U2 song Sunday, Bloody Sunday and Irish history in general. I'm on my own for a few days until I stay at Johnny's house in Belfast. I'm in Sligo right now but the city is rather ugly so I'm not going to spend the night. I'm taking the 3pm to Galway of which I've heard good things. I like all this travelling, I have to say, I am seeing more of Ireland in 2 weeks than I saw of England and Switzerland in 2 months. Damn shame I can't make money doing this. Well, I'm off. Adios.
