Paris est la capital de la France
This city doesnt cease to amaze me (I say that like a true Parisienne...I think considering this is my second trip, I qualify). The monuments are huge. The churches are huge. The plazas are huge. The intersections are huge. Standing in the middle of Place de la Concorde, my god, its as if the whole city is whizzing by around you.
I am staying with my friend Sebastien and his family who couldnt be nicer or more hospitable. Their home is in Neuilly, which is in the western end of Paris between, La Defense and L'Arc de Triomphe.
I've been getting the insiders view of Paris which is great. Last night we watched France beat Greece in soccer. We climbed the Notre Dame. I walk a lot every day and am exhausted at night. I think in just the same way that having a routine is boring and sometimes lends itself to sleeplessness, never doing the same thing for very long is really exhausting.
Today, le Musee Rodin and then we are going to see all the window decorations that are up for Christmas, just like when Im with my mom the day before Thanksgiving, walking on 5th avenue in Manhattan.
