County Cork, Ireland

I've adjusted to camp life again. The days are incredibly long and exhausting but the staff is great and we've got a good group of kids this year. Personally, Im looking after 15 and 17 year old boys in my apartment. The facilities are really nice but transportation is a logistical nightmare. I'm having fun, swimming a couple times a week, coaching kids with juggling, and I bought myself a new toy, a diabolo. In the mornings I plan evening programs and help with whatever needs to be done. I miss the mountains. It's just not Switzerland but my friends here are absolutely great.
Em and Erin at a pub in Kinsale.

The trip from Prague was fun. It was fun travelling with Erin, Catie and Jude. We stayed at a rotten hostel in Dublin and spent a sleepless night trying to avoid being sprayed with the fire extinguisher by drunk, rude, Irish boys. I finally made it to the James Joyce museum, and am thinking of rereading Ulysses. Progress with Crime and Punishment has come to a dead halt since my arrival at camp. Ive taken to reading Poetry to fall asleep since it only takes about 4 lines before I crash unconsious on my pillow.
The tentative plan for after camp is a couple of nights in Amsterdam with some friends from camp. I need to get it checked off my list and it will be fun to go with good friends. Then Im going to reunite with Carolina in London before I fly home to the states, August 22nd. Annie has booked us with zoom air, Montreal to Paris on September 26th. So, ive comitted myself to an East Coast USA backpacking trip. It's going to work like this: DC to NYC to Boston to Burlington to Montreal. Im going to visit as many folks as I can so tell me where you are.

This is the whole staff wearing our Harry Potter hats for arrival day. I think it will be good for when I become a wizard and need the proper attire.
