Slovakia, Ice skating, Playoffs, Visitors...

If I learned one thing today...it's that 5-year-olds can ice skate faster than me. But don't worry, I am still smarter and stronger than them. We take the kids ice skating once a week but I usually have to stay back at the school with the kids that don't go. Today I switched with Mari so I could go. It was my first time skating since that church retreat Laura dragged me to when I was 13. At least i'm as good as I was then.

I went to Slovakia last weekend, especially because I love to travel but especially because I needed a stamp on my passport to renew my tourist visa. My friend Rick and I went to Zilina and to the Mala Fatra mountains. It was fun. I learned that my miserable Czech also can pass for miserable Slovak. I also learned that Slovakians really love rocking out dancing on tables to songs like Right Now and Eye of the Tiger. I love Eastern Europe!

This Saturday, I'm going to watch Sparta win in the first round of the playoffs.
