USA!
I haven't left myself very much time to write. I'm in Hendersonville but my parents are taking me to Charlotte so I can catch a flight to DC to visit Kelsey. I'm over the halfway point of my USA vacation and it's time to start saying goodbyes again. It has been really nice to be home, swing in my hammock with my book, take walks with my Dad, and shop, eat, chat, and watch the tube with my Mom. Initially, being home was a bit strange but I wouldn't say that it was culture shock or anything diagnosable like that. It was a lot of attention and I was overwhelmed with how much stuff I had in my room. I had forgotten just how much actually crap I had, after having lived with under 30 kilos worth of possessions for a year. It didn't take long for my mom to yell at me for leaving my stuff around and so I quickly swung back into the routine of a lazy vacation at the folks place, let my parents spoil me, and visited some good friends in the area.
My brother and I, had a crazy adventurous weekend, travelling to NY State for Moedown, a music festival sponsored by one of our favorite bands, Moe. It was good to see that the Wookie Hippies, haven't disappeared in my absence, and that I still have a real weak spot for some jamming on the electric guitar. One Wook was lucky enough to score a zero degree Hardware down sleeping bag right out of our tent. I haven't had much experience with being ripped off but I realized quickly I couldn't let it ruin my weekend. J and I had a great time!
Now, my Ma has that concerned tone of voice, that tells me it is time to go or else witness the progression into panic-mode. I'll be in touch from my nations capital. See-ya!
